Flying to New York

This year we did the smart thing and booked a flight directly into Albany.  What a relief not to touchdown at JFK!  That airport is so overburdened it's a nightmare, and then getting a rental car and driving 90 minutes or more to 12 Hilltop Ct. is more than I could take this year.  Maybe we can do it again in a year or two when the girls (particularly Suzanne) are older.

We couldn't have done it at all if Grandpa Frank and Aunt Bev weren't willing to take on the burden of driving up to Bette's Place to see us.  Luckily, they were, and all was well.  The only bummer was the fact that we didn't get to see Barb's extended family, or Uncle Frank.

Elizabeth and Suzanne are good travelers, but still and yet traveling with young children is painful.  On the plane, Elizabeth took this picture.  (The camera was one of the "toys" I broke out when things were getting dicey. Yet another reason to say Huzzah for digital photography: she can snap 200 pictures at zero cost.)

I like how the lights kind of look like a face.  I wonder if that was what Elizabeth was going for... .

Last Gasp of Summer

Sunset the first night.   It's been a good summer, but certainly more constrained than usual due to the COVID-19 pandemic...
