The Joey Show Rehearsal
Rare backstage footage of the genius performers behind The Joey Show making magic.
Snowfall
We got a little snow on 2/24 that stuck around until... well, there were still patches this morning, but they're gone now. It's getting much warmer, after a couple days of bitter cold (bitter by western Oregon standards -- low 20s).
I was at work, but Barb and the girls enjoyed the unusual weather.
Suzanne Photoshoot
I had a nice time with Suzanne this morning. She is very happy upon waking. Barb was in Elizabeth's room, so it was just me and the baby. Among other things, we had a little photoshoot that produced some decent pictures.
Given how tricky the lighting was, and my inability to capture exactly the picture I wanted, I found myself really desiring a digital SLR camera. Maybe I should buy some film for my Nikon FM2 and see if that does better than the digital pocket camera...

Binky Baby
Elizabeth never had any interest in pacifiers or sucking her thumb.
Suzanne, on the other hand haas been a champion self-soother since day one. She generally sucks on some random number of digits, but lately has taken to her thumb (though I think it's too small to really satisfy)
Because we've been talking about it, and because we are all sick (Barb and I have minor colds; the girls have a GI flu), we indulged the girl and got her a binky.
She took to it right away (as with the bottle), but then it fell out. Barb put it back in, and again she seemed pleased and soothed by its presence. This could, however, turn into a huge nightmare down the road. Parents giveth the binky, but eventually parents must also taketh binky away.
