Suzanne Marries a Pumpkin

Suzanne recently developed an interest in marriage. When we were playing a board game the other day, she married one of the game pieces. At the pumpkin patch today she said she wanted to marry the draught horse. And when we got home, she had a wedding and married her pumpkin. Her best friend, Annika, served as flower girl.

Greek Mythology

Elizabeth has gotten into Greek mythology in a pretty big way, thanks in part to Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson books. Back in our day, it was Bullfinch's or nothing. Can't wait to get Elizabeth together with Uncle Mark to talk Greek turkey. She already knows way more than I ever did.

Chimney Monkey Infestation

Suzanne was showing off to Jasper how she could climb from the camelia to the chimney. He was impressed, but wanted to do it, too. I got them off the chimney by pretending to be driving away an infestation of chimney monkeys, which are at least as bad as roof rats.
