Two Sisters!?!

Our suspicions were confirmed by sonogram on Monday when the technician said, "That's a healthy looking baby... whoops, make that two babies!"

Yep, twins. Identical, probably girls, due in December. In the image above, AA marks one baby, BB marks the other. It's hard to see, but if you click on the image you will embiggen it.

Barb and I had suspected a twofer because she was bulging very early in the pregnancy. Either twins, I thought, or this baby suffers from gigantism. Also, Barb has been at least twice as sick as could possibly be considered normal.

We're shocked, happy, scared, and already shopping for a minivan and a bigger house.

Camping!

We went camping with the Francises last weekend. Jen, Joshi, and Billi (Elwood was working) came out to Green Canyon campground on Friday, but then returned to their house for sleeping (they live five minutes away). But the next night they stayed over in a tent -- the first time tenting for the girls, if I'm not mistaken. It was a lot of fun and hopefully bodes well for a summer full of being outdoors with our friends.

Hair cuts

Last weekend Elizabeth and Daddy both got their hair cut, courtesy of Mommy/Barb. Daddy looked pretty good with the standard one-inch trimmer cut, but Elizabeth had a bit too much of the Moe Howard-look for a few days until her bangs grew out.

Twinkle, twinkle, Little Star.

Elizabeth loves watching videos of herself. I hope we aren't fostering some sort of monstrously narcissistic ego in our little angel.

Latourell Falls

Back in early May we went to Latourell Falls in the Gorge. I had Barb take this "video portrait" rather than a still because... well, because we were standing in front of a waterfall. I don't think it was entirely successful, especially because Elizabeth always wants to camera in her hands if she sees it pointed at her.

Worth noting, however, is the fact that on this day Elizabeth hiked well over a mile on her own two feet, much of it a pretty steep uphill. Quite a feat.

Sorry.

Last Gasp of Summer

Sunset the first night.   It's been a good summer, but certainly more constrained than usual due to the COVID-19 pandemic...
